If you need to buy or use sheep dip products, then under the Medicines (Exemptions for Merchants in Veterinary Drugs) Order 1998 you will need to hold this qualification.
This course covers preparing to dip sheep by demonstrating understanding and knowledge of legislative, welfare and environmental requirements, protective clothing, record keeping, control of external parasites, sheep diseases and dip disposal. An optional unit on practical dipping will put this knowledge in to practice and is highly recommended to consolidate your learning.
This course culminates in an Independently Assessed qualification. Assessment is by initial practical assessment prior to sheep being dipped (unit 1, part 1) and also a computer-based test (unit 1, part 2). There is an optional practical test which covers the practical sheep dipping operation (unit 2).
