Our family farm has been producing the highest quality and prize-winning pedigree pig stock and genetics for nearly 80 years, including the oldest herd of pedigree Large White pigs in the UK, establishing Solitaire Farm in a unique position within the industry.
Eastgate Farm is powered by the Kiddy family – we are a third-generation farming business with a dedication to breeding the very highest quality pedigree pig genetics, including our history making Large White Withersfield herd, for both the UK and global markets.
In recent years we have also expanded into producing free range pork, lamb and Christmas Turkey meat sales, supplying a combination of butchers, farm shops and selling directly to our loyal customers from the farm gate with high welfare, free range meat.
We are a family farm, led by Nick Kiddy, and his parents Guy and Melany. As well as working on the farm, Guy also has experience as Head of Agriculture at Shuttleworth College, lecturer at the College of West Anglia and Chairman of the British Pig Association, and continues to lead the way for the next generation of farmers with a range of on-farm training courses and consultancy.
